Full Journal pdf2008-04-11 House Journal Page 2891 HB 417 Representative Samuels moved and asked unanimous consent that the House consider the Senate message (page 2888) on the following: CS FOR HOUSE BILL NO. 417(FIN) am "An Act relating to the compensation for certain public officials, officers, and employees not covered by collective bargaining agreements; relating to pay increments for longevity in state service; and providing for an effective date." and SENATE CS FOR CS FOR HOUSE BILL NO. 417(FIN) "An Act relating to the compensation for certain public officials, officers, and employees not covered by collective bargaining agreements, to pay increments for longevity in state service, and to a State Officers Compensation Commission; providing for an effective date by repealing the effective dates of certain sections of ch. 124, SLA 1986; and providing for an effective date." (SCR 33 - title change resolution) There being no objection, it was so ordered. Representative Samuels moved that the House concur in the Senate amendment to CSHB 417(FIN) am, thus adopting SCS CSHB 417(FIN). The question being: "Shall the House concur in the Senate amendment to CSHB 417(FIN) am?" The roll was taken with the following result: SCS CSHB 417(FIN) Concur YEAS: 33 NAYS: 5 EXCUSED: 1 ABSENT: 1 2008-04-11 House Journal Page 2892 Yeas: Buch, Chenault, Cissna, Coghill, Crawford, Dahlstrom, Doll, Doogan, Edgmon, Fairclough, Gardner, Gatto, Gruenberg, Guttenberg, Harris, Hawker, Holmes, Johansen, Johnson, Joule, Kawasaki, Keller, Kelly, Kerttula, Lynn, Meyer, Nelson, Olson, Roses, Samuels, Seaton, Thomas, Wilson Nays: Gara, LeDoux, Neuman, Ramras, Stoltze Excused: Foster Absent: Salmon Gara changed from "Yea" to "Nay". Neuman changed from "Yea" to "Nay". And so, the House concurred in the Senate amendment, thus adopting SCS CSHB 417(FIN). Representative Samuels moved and asked unanimous consent that the roll call on the passage of the bill be considered the roll call on the effective date clause. There being no objection, it was so ordered. The Chief Clerk notified the Senate. SCS CSHB 417(FIN) was referred to the Chief Clerk for enrollment.
